There are a lot of wood stain & sealers on the market today, so it can become very overwhelming for our customers. Fortunately for you, we have done extensive research and have hands on experience that has enabled us to narrow down the best options based on the current condition and desired outcome for your wood structure.
For bare-wood, or those whose coating can be stripped, we utilize a specific low VOC oil-based stain and sealer. This product contains natural oils that conditions and nourishes the wood to mitigate warping and cracking.
For wood that has seen better days, we generally use a solid stain and sealer. This product comes in a wide array of colors and does a great job at hiding some of the imperfections.
There are a number of different species of wood that are commonly used for both fences and decks. However, it is decking that sees the greatest various in species of wood.
The most common wood used for decks in our area is pressure treated pine. It is also common to see decks made of mahogany, cedar, and IPE. These types of wood vary greatly in their strength and density and as a result, they require the use of different methods and products.
